Bosco

A private estate of three beachfront villas on the Oaxacan coast, conceived by artist Bosco Sodi a short drive from his celebrated Casa Wabi.

Designed by Sodi with Samantha Redfern and furnished by Década Muebles, Casas Bosco sits between the Sierra Madre and the open ocean, on a quiet stretch of coast where the only crowds are the pelicans. The thinking behind it is wabi-sabi, the Japanese philosophy of transience and imperfection that also shapes Sodi's Fundación Casa Wabi.

Each house is built from natural materials around a vast open-air palapa, its thatched roof soaring over living and dining spaces that open straight onto the pool, the garden and the sea. Bedrooms are private and turned towards the view, and the sound of the surf never quite leaves you.

Take a single villa for a family or a group of friends, or combine two or all three for weddings, retreats and milestone gatherings of up to 43 guests. Every house has its own cooks and housekeeping team, with an on-site administrator on hand throughout, so the estate runs quietly in the background while you do very little at all.
