Art, nature,
and the Pacific
On a remote stretch of Pacific coastline near Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Casas Bosco is a compound of two exceptional beach villas conceived by celebrated Mexican artist Bosco Sodi and Samantha Redfern, and decorated by Década Muebles. Thoughtfully secluded within lush Pacific wildlife, the villas were designed to connect guests with nature in every element — from their all-natural materials to their open-air palapas, where the sound and scent of the ocean drift through every room.
Casas Bosco emerges from the same creative vision as Fundación Casa Wabi — Sodi's world-renowned cultural community, founded in 2014, whose flagship residence was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando. Facing the Sierra Madre mountains with the Pacific at their back, the two homes share a philosophy of simplicity, imperfection, and deep communion with the natural world.
Rented separately or together, each villa sleeps up to 12–14 guests across five bedrooms and six bathrooms, with an open-air main palapa, private pool, fully-equipped kitchen and bar, and in-house cook. Together, they accommodate up to 28 guests — ideal for large family gatherings, creative retreats, and milestone celebrations.
The acceptance of transience and imperfection — the idea that beauty exists in the natural, the impermanent, and the incomplete.

Where simplicity becomes
extraordinary
Open-Air Palapa Living
Each villa is anchored by a vast, open-air main palapa with a soaring thatched roof — a living, dining, and gathering space that dissolves the boundary between shelter and landscape, as the ocean breeze moves freely through.
Private Pools
Each villa has its own private pool, set within lush, immersive surroundings. Cool off in seclusion, then follow the path to the shore — where the Pacific is just steps away.
In-House Cook
Each villa is tended by its own in-house cook, preparing meals from a fully-equipped kitchen and bar. Your cook will guide you through local market finds, fresh seafood, and the distinctive flavours of coastal Oaxaca. Cost of ingredients is additional.
A Living Artwork
Designed by artist Bosco Sodi and decorated by Década Muebles, Casas Bosco is an extension of Fundación Casa Wabi — a world-renowned cultural community whose flagship residence was designed by Pritzker Prize-winner Tadao Ando. To stay here is to inhabit a work of art.
Nature & Bioluminescence
The surrounding landscape is alive — mangrove forests and wildlife at Laguna de Manialtepec, sea turtle sanctuaries at Ventanilla, and at night, the extraordinary spectacle of bioluminescent tides in the warm Pacific waters.
Zicatela & the Pacific
Puerto Escondido's Zicatela Beach — one of the top ten surfing destinations in the world — lies close by, alongside a picturesque bay of rock formations, fresh seafood restaurants, and a town that comes alive with legendary energy after dark.
